always an "out loud laugh"
I have been cutting your cartoons out of the Christchurch Press for ages to send to my adult daughters who have young ones; always an “out loud laugh”. Only today I have I thought to go into your website. I’m off to buy the book. When my older daughter (aged 3ish) and I were in the bank one day; she asked very loudly “Why is that lady fat Mummy?” Everyone heard her! Too late for “shshing”; to this day I am amazed at my casual quick response: “”
“People come in all shapes and sizes darling”!!! Keep up the great work.
Response from The Little Things cartoons
Hi Janet, fast thinking indeed! Hope you’re enjoying the book, and we’ve got a new one coming out in September. To save cutting out more cartoons, you’re daughters may like to follow The Little Things on Stuff (www.stuff.co.nz) – a new cartoon everyday!
I love you to bits bruther!
I love your cartoons which are displays in the West Australians “”seven days””.”
Please make some cartoons viewable on your website.

They are marvellous.
Met your cartoons in the Marlborough Express. They are marvellous. Pleased to see you have published a book. Will buy a copy and read it before I send it to my daughter-in-law.

We’re getting around! And yes – you’ll be pleased to know that we have a second book coming out in September.
Truth and love.
Your cartoons continue to delight. Truth and love. My Grandaughter took her almost 2yr old on an outing in Washbourne Park today . The highlight was that she actually did a “”Big girls wee’ in the public toilets . Nappy days may almost be over! My darling Tahlia Great Gpa
Response from The Little Things cartoons
Good for Tahlia! That’s a Little Thing to remember!
Here's an idea:
When I was a very little chap, the telephone rang at home and I rushed to answer it, put the phone down and said to my Dad, it is so and so Dad, he responded – tell him I am not here- so I duly picked up the phone and said to the caller – Dad says he is not here….
Response from The Little Things cartoons
Nice one Serge! Thanks for getting in touch and thanks sharing that story. I think there is definitely cartoon potential there. Cheers, Matt
I so enjoy your wonderful depictions
I so enjoy your wonderful depictions of life as a parent
Do you have a book on your cartoons?
a delight to smile over
My copy of The Little Things arrived a couple of days ago and now I wonder why I didn’t buy one for each of my children who have children of their own. So I have just ordered three more. Wry and funny and sweet-natured and a delight to smile over. As has been said – keep ’em coming!
Response from The Little Things cartoons
Thanks so much for your comments (and your orders!). Don’t worry – there’s lots more to come!
