So true to life
I daily select your cartoon before I read anything else in my daily newspaper; these cartoons are so real to life they are real treasures

We’re glad to hear that you find our cartoons to be ‘treasures’, Wilhelmus! And thanks for the feedback – we love hearing from our readers 🙂
Wonderful Smiles
I seek your cartoon in every paper, cut them out and make mini scrapbooks for aged friends. We’ve all been there! We all Get it, and it makes us laugh, remembering the stresses of raising our own Darlings.
Response from The Little Things cartoons
Thank you for your kind words, Marion. And we completely agree that “We’ve all been there”! Glad the cartoons make you and your “aged friends” have a good laugh – keep chuckling 🙂
Honesty versus Lying
I love the Little Things! But lying to children concerns me. Today the caption says ‘Lying’, two days ago it read ‘Wondering about their moral compass. There could be a connection and I have noticed other times where the joke is based on a lie. It might be more of a challenge but surely it’s possible to create humour out of changing the subject or otherwise deflecting an answer rather than blatantly lying? The discovery of a lie can risk loss of trust. Otherwise – I do love your clever cartoons.

Hi Briar, thanks for the message. Always nice to hear from people who love The Little Things. I hear what you’re saying but parents are human beings and they don’t always get it right. I’m constantly lying to my kids about the existence of chocolate in the house. It doesn’t seem to have done them too much harm. In fact, it’s become a bit of a family joke. Cheers, Matt
